The Patriot Post® · Bashing & Burning
It’s spring, and the left is busy bashing, burning, and desecrating. Of course, it’s all in the name of “defending our democracy.”
There is increasing vandalism of Tesla cars and road rage incidents against Tesla owners. At an event this weekend, Elon Musk said that the number of daily death threats he’s getting has gone down from 18,000 to 17,000.
At demonstrations targeting Tesla dealerships, the favorite sign was, “Burn a Tesla! Save Democracy.” I can’t even explain what that means or how that works.
The Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was set on fire over the weekend. The arsonists also spray-painted “ICE = KKK” on the building. Yeah, that makes sense.
In Kansas, Satan worshippers conducted a Black Mass on the steps of the state capitol. The “mass” mocks and desecrates the act and components of communion or the Lord’s Supper.
When a Catholic man bravely attempted to save the communion wafers from the satanists, he was kicked and pummeled repeatedly as the crowd chanted, “All Hail, Satan.” Golly, Toto, we’re not in Kansas anymore.
Burning cars. Firebombing buildings. Violently attacking Christians. None of these tactics are used to “defend democracy.” They are the tactics of authoritarians. The idea that this is the way to “defend democracy” is not only absurd, it’s also very revealing about what the left has become.
Full Of Hate
From Antifa to Tesla vandals, violence is now a defining characteristic of the left. But why does the left so quickly resort to violence and intimidation?
I believe one reason is because of the violent rhetoric of their leaders. Democrat and progressive leaders aren’t simply urging their supporters to go register new voters. No, their rhetoric it’s full of hatred.
They call every conservative a “Nazi” and/or a “racist.” Democrats are telling their supporters to “punch” people and “fight in the streets” because “democracy is in danger.”
People are responsible for their own actions and should be prosecuted for acts of violence. But there is no excuse for the violent rhetoric of leading Democrats. They need to tone down the hate before anyone else gets hurt.
The Scandal That Wasn’t
CBS News released a new poll this weekend. It found President Trump’s approval rating holding steady at 50%. In spite of all the media’s efforts, “Signalgate” isn’t causing any significant damage, at least for now.
As a reminder, this “scandal” is about a left-wing reporter getting on a text chat conversation with high-level administration officials who were discussing sensitive military information.
Here’s a reality check: There were no negative effects as a result of the reporter’s “eavesdropping.” The military attack was successful. Nothing happened that jeopardized lives or the mission.
But left-wing senators are screaming for blood and demanding scalps. These same senators were silent when it became clear that the Iranian regime was operating an influence operation at the highest levels of the Biden administration.
Robert Malley, Biden’s Iran envoy, had his security clearance revoked. Democrats said nothing. One of Malley’s associates, Ariane Tabatabai, landed top jobs at the State Department and the Pentagon.
The Biden administration stonewalled efforts to investigate this Iranian spy ring. The media had no interest in it. Democrat senators were nowhere to be seen, and there was no accountability of any kind.
Waltz Watch?
There was a report late Friday night that senior White House officials, including Vice President J.D. Vance, approached President Trump last week and recommended that National Security Adviser Mike Waltz be fired over the Signal controversy.
President Trump, according to this report, which I have not independently confirmed, said he didn’t want to reward Democrats and their media allies by giving them Waltz’s scalp.
Trump may have also had in the back of his mind the special election taking place today in Florida, where Waltz’s former House seat appears to be in danger of being lost to the Democrats.
Meanwhile, Laura Loomer has discovered that Candice Wong, the wife of Waltz’s top White House aide Alex Wong, worked in the Justice Department under Barack Obama and Joe Biden. This is feeding concerns that Waltz may have people around him who may not be committed to the president’s foreign policy agenda.
Curiously, the media and Democrat senators are demanding the resignation of Pete Hegseth, which doesn’t make sense. Waltz was responsible for setting up the Signal chat session, but they don’t want Waltz gone. They want a continuation of the “war, war, war” foreign policy.
Elections Have Consequences
There are major elections with national implications in Florida and Wisconsin today.
In Wisconsin, an amendment adding a voter ID requirement to the state constitution is on the ballot. Voter ID laws are just common sense, and they are even more important in closely divided swing states like Wisconsin.
There is also a critical race that will decide the majority on Wisconsin’s Supreme Court. If the liberal candidate prevails, the court’s liberal majority is expected to order new congressional maps to be drawn, potentially eliminating two GOP House seats.
In Florida, the two open solid GOP House seats to replace Matt Gaetz and Mike Waltz are in more immediate danger, especially the Waltz seat in the Sixth Congressional District. This race appears to be much more competitive than it should be in a “Red” district.
If you’re receiving this report and live in Florida and Wisconsin, and I find out that you didn’t vote, I’m coming to your house! (That’s a joke, but I’ll still be really mad.)
If you have relatives or friends in Wisconsin or in these Florida congressional districts, call them. They must vote. Tell them it is vital that they make it to the polls and encourage them to bring someone with them.
If we lose the Supreme Court race in Wisconsin or one or both of the House seats in Florida, Democrats and the leftist media are going to have a field day, and they will stoke complete panic among Republicans on Capitol Hill. It will be a disaster if it happens.
It will also be an exaggeration. In spite of the inevitable spin, it won’t mean that the public has turned on Trump and wants Democrats back in power. (Even the New York Times editorial board admits Democrats are delusional.)
If the GOP suffers big losses today, it will be yet another example of the classic phenomenon of American politics that we see all the time. It happened during the Biden administration when Republicans won the governorship in Virginia and almost won the governor’s race in New Jersey.
The party in power in the White House gets complacent and goes to sleep, while the party out of power gets upset and energized.
We can’t play those games anymore! The stakes today are just too great.
At a rally in Wisconsin this weekend, Elon Musk argued that what happens in today’s Supreme Court race “might decide the future of America and Western Civilization.” If conservatives lose this race and potentially control of the House of Representatives as a result, Trump’s agenda will be dead in Congress.
My friends, if we care about this country, there is no excuse to not vote every time there is an election!
The Pro-Abortion Left
Democrats in Colorado are debating legislation that would force taxpayers to subsidize abortions. They’re not at all shy about their reasoning.
While claiming it is about “equity and fairness,” it’s really all about money. Testifying in support of the legislation, state Rep. Julie McCluskie (D) said, “A birth is more expensive than an abortion… ultimately the state will see a cost-savings.”
That’s not far from the “logic” the Third Reich used to justify euthanizing disabled children who were a financial burden on the government. Eventually, Hitler’s euthanasia program expanded from children to teenagers with disabilities, then adults with mental illnesses, and finally Jews and political opponents of the regime.
Leftists in Colorado wanted to kick Donald Trump off the ballot because they claimed he was a “Nazi.” They don’t need to go searching for Nazis in Colorado. They just need to look in the mirror.
