Matthew 7:3-5 (New International Version), “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’, when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

Down south, I loved how the old folks could come up with the most insightful colloquial sayings that provided immense wisdom. Two of my Dad’s favorites were “An empty wagon makes a lot of noise” and “A hit dog will holler.” He was alluding to the fact that folks who do not have a lot in their heads are the ones who make the most and loudest noise. The second saying speaks for itself, guilty people yell the most and loudest. Then there was the one that has the most relevance to me today, “Never read your own press, and never drink your own tub water,” meaning do not get full of yourself. There were so many times that I did not understand these nuggets of wisdom and discernment, but there was a point that the proverbial light would come on.

The title of this week’s missive is one of those sayings. My Mom and her friends would say this when talking about some other folks, mainly women, and chastising them for judging someone for that which they are guilty—the pot calling the kettle black. Now, of course, the ignorant white progressive socialist will read the title and accuse Townhall of printing racist diatribes. Did I say an empty wagon makes a lot of noise?

Truly, what Mom and those astute ladies were referring to is the Bible verse from the Gospel of Matthew, aforementioned.

Over the past week, I was down at Skydive Palatka with my Airborne Brothers and Sisters of the Round Canopy Parachuting Team-USA doing our semi-annual jump training, preparing some for the D-Day commemorative jumps. However, I did get a chance to catch the news in the evening, and the story about a “sensitive” information leak over Signal chat dominated the leftist media outlets. Uh, special hat tip to my fellow Georgian, VA Secretary Doug Collins, for issuing a smackdown to a CNN commentator…a hit dog does indeed holler. I find it comical and, yes, hypocritical, as Jesus said, that these leftists are trying to pounce upon a speck of sawdust when they have a big ol’ plank in their own eyes.

Let’s take, for example, the Hunter Biden laptop story that the leftist media and their accomplices referred to as Russian misinformation, kinda like the Hillary Clinton dossier. You also had some 51 members of the so-called “intelligence community,” some real empty wagons, signing onto a letter to the same. Not to mention, we should never forget Hillary Clinton’s unsecured email server located in her private residence that was transmitting classified information. I am sure there is more, but I recall we were told it didn’t matter. This delusional hypocrisy is laughable if it were not so utterly blatant and serious.

But now, leftists want a full-blown investigation into the Signal chat issue but not a word about an investigation of their own trespasses…sawdust and planks. Or why did the left not call for an investigation when the former Homeland Security secretary, ya know, Mr. Empty Wagon, kept telling us that the border was “secure.”

The leftists are also railing about firing Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Hmm, there was nothing about a defense secretary who went AWOL for some four days, you know, the black guy, as mindless Joe Biden described him…empty wagon. Where was the call for an investigation or removal from duties as SecDef, and this after the debacle of Afghanistan?

But probably the greatest example of my Mom’s saying is the leftist pot calling everyone else a Nazi. Ya know, hit dogs will holler. Leftists can burn down neighborhoods and police precincts, and that is a peaceful, warranted protest…certainly not an insurrection, like Antifa attacking, with gunfire, an Atlanta Police training facility construction site. Now, we have leftists going around attacking people driving Tesla vehicles, firebombing Tesla dealerships, and referring to people driving Teslas as Nazis. Oh boy, shall we remind those members of the party of the jackass that Nazi stood for National Socialist…again? And it was not too long ago that leftists were mandating that we all buy electric vehicles, and Elon Musk was their champion.

Ya know, these leftists are really good at deflecting their behavior upon others. They are the real Nazis and fascists, and what they are doing is no different from what Nazis did in Germany called Kristallnacht…yeah, I read and study history. And Antifa, the so-called “anti-Fascists” who go about beating up people they disagree with, are the American Brown Shirts, the SA. And all of this is a really bad case of domestic terrorism. But hey, why be concerned with the plank in your own eye?

One would have thought that the left would have stopped and taken the plank out of their own, not just eye, but eyes. After all, perhaps they would be able to see more clearly why they got their fourth point of contact handed to them last November…that is an Airborne reference. It is said that in the land of the blind, the Cyclops is viewed as one with great vision. The leftists in America are blind to their own insidious idiosyncrasies and abhorrent ideological agenda. They have cast upon America now such profound professors of wisdom such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jasmine Crockett…one who believes that crossing into the Country illegally is not a crime.

Where do they find these people?

In closing, another of those sage points of wisdom from the ol’ folks down south was, “Best to keep your mouth shut and not let everyone know you’re stupid”. And, of course, that comes from the wisdom of Israel’s King Solomon, who wrote in Proverbs 17:28 (NIV), “Even fools are thought wise if they keep silent, and discerning if they hold their tongues.”

Sadly, I do not think that will happen with the progressive socialist leftists, after all, a hit dog will just keep hollering. Let’s keep hitting them with the truth and exposing their hypocrisy and evidencing that plank in their eyes that blinds them. Yes, they will make that incessantly annoying noise similar to their party mascot, the jackass, but doggone, this is not just fun; it is too easy!
